Assist. Prof. Paripok Phitsuwan received his Ph.D ( Biochemical Technology) from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). He earned a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Weizmann Institute of Science under supervision of Prof. Edward A. Bayer, where he gained research experience in Cellulosome and Designer Cellulosome Technology for biomass conversion.
Currently, Dr. Phitsuwan is appointed as Assistant Professor at Division of Biochemical Technology, School of Bioresources and Technology, KMUTT. He is a principal investigator and a head of LigniTech-Lignin Technology Research center. His research focuses on Lignin conversion technology, microbial and enzyme technology, and cellulosome technology for biomass conversion. In addition, he is specialized for biomass pretreatment and characterization.
He published several research papers in highly recognized journals such as Journal of Molecular Catalysis B: Enzymatic, Bioresource Technology, Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, and Biomass and Bioenergy. He has been an ad Hoc reviewer for such journals as Applied Energy, Biomass and Bioenergy, BioEnergy Research and BioResources.
He is an editorial board member of Frontiers in Chemistry and Frontiers in Molecular Bioscience. He received the 2017 TRF-OHEC-SCOPUS Young Researcher Award from the Thailand Research Fund and Elsevier in 2017.
